Comparison of somatosensory cortex excitability between migraine and “strict-criteria” tension-type headache: A magnetoencephalographic study
Pain Mar 30, 2018
Chen WT, et al. - Consecutive patients with Tension-type headache (TTH) and age- and sex-matched patients with migraine and healthy controls were investigated to assess if TTH and migraine are similar in brain excitability change assessed by magnetoencephalography. Findings suggest that in view of somatosensory cortex excitability, TTH and migraine are different clinical entities. TTH and migraine could be differentiated with the preactivation excitability assessed via somatosensory gating.
