Lee MC, et al. - This study compared standard iliac screw (SIS) versus S2-Alar (S2-A) pelvic fixation in terms of clinical and radiographic outcomes in pediatric neuromuscular scoliosis patients. Generally, improved rates of radiographic implant failure were seen in the S2A group compared to the SIS group, but the rates became equivalent when a crosslink was added to an SIS construct. Both SIS and S2A groups did not show any difference in post-operative complication rates
