Comparison of rocuronium-induced neuromuscular blockade in second trimester pregnant women and non-pregnant women

Jun IJ, et al. - In second trimester pregnant women and non-pregnant women receiving general anesthesia, the onset and duration of rocuronium-induced neuromuscular blockade were compared in this study. With respect to onset of rocuronium-induced neuromuscular blockade, no significant difference was apparent in both the groups. However, the duration of rocuronium-induced neuromuscular blockade lasted significantly longer in second trimester pregnant women compared with non-pregnant women.
