Comparison of preoperative and postoperative measurements of optical low-coherence reflectometry biometry and assessment of its refractive predictability
International Ophthalmology Jun 26, 2018
Akalin I, et al. - The preoperative and postoperative measurements of optical low-coherence reflectometry (OLCR) biometry were compared. Further, its refractive predictability was assessed. Evaluation of the measurement and refractive results of the OLCR biometry yielded evidence for the existence of a very satisfactory result and a predictable device compatible with the current literature. In eyes with axial length (AL)≤22 mm, the SRK/T formula, one of the new generation formulas, showed high mean absolute error (MAE) and RE results, although these were not statistically significant. They recommended using other new generation formulas in these eyes.
