Bendifallah S, et al. - Women with FIGO stage IB2–IIB cervical cancer (CC) who underwent surgical nodal staging including exclusive para-aortic lymphadenectomy (PAL) vs comprehensive pelvic + para-aortic lymphadenectomy (P-PAL) were compared regarding the prognosis. On analyzing retrospectively abstracted data of 314 women with FIGO stage IB2 to IIB CC treated between January 2000 and January 2015 from nine French institutions, researchers noted no significant therapeutic benefit of comprehensive P-PAL vs exclusive PAL.
