Wong B, et al. - This retrospective cohort study was undertaken to compare patient survival between hemodialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (PD) among dialysis patients eligible for both modalities. Findings revealed that HD and PD were associated with similar mortality among incident dialysis patients who were eligible for both modalities. It appeared that the impact of modality on survival did not change over time.
