Kim WK, et al. – Researchers assessed the effect of device landing zone (DLZ) calcification on procedural outcome with different types of transcatheter heart valves (THVs). Findings demonstrated that balloon-expandable (BE) devices might have advantages in severe and moderate DLZ calcification, whereas, self-expanding (SE)low THV displayed the most favorable profile in mild DLZ calcification.
