Aridi HD, et al. – Authors performed comparison of the outcomes of laparoscopic Roux–en–Y gastric bypass (LRYGB) and sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) up to 5 years of follow–up. Both procedures seemed to result in satisfactory weight loss within 5 years. They recommended including patients comorbidities and potential risks in the choice of the appropriate bariatric procedure. LSG seemed to provide durable weight loss with less risk of major long–term complications.
