Arthroscopy Aug 24, 2017
Watson ST, et al. – This study compared the results of patients who underwent a long head of the biceps (LHB) procedure (tenotomy or tenodesis) concomitant with rotator cuff repair (RCR) to those of patients who underwent isolated RCR. Findings revealed that in comparison with isolated RCR group, patients who underwent a concomitant biceps procedure when indicated at the time of RCR exhibited inferior baseline patient–reported outcome measures and greater improvement after 1 year, as well as more favorable American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) scores at 1 year.
