Comparison of MRI and neurosonogram 1- and 2-dimensional morphological measurements of the newborn corpus callosum
Pediatric Research Apr 12, 2019
Mills M, et al. - Using a protocol derived from established methodologies, researchers evaluated the relationship between MRI and US measurements of the neonatal corpus callosum (CC). For this investigation, they analyzed MR and neurosonogram (NS) images from an existing cohort of term infants (≥37 weeks gestational age). Findings revealed that NS is well correlated with some of the CC's MRI measurements and displays similar repeatability levels, making them interchangeable. The use of LUS, a technique rarely used for NS, may be preferable to the morphological studies standard approach.
