Tsubosaka M, et al. - The goal of this investigation was to compare intraoperative soft tissue balance between cruciate-retaining (CR) and posterior-stabilized (PS) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) performed by a newly developed medial preserving gap technique, intended to preserve medial stability throughout the range of motion. Findings revealed that using the medial preserving gap technique, PS-TKA similarly achieved medial stability comparable to CR-TKA.
