Comparison of hospitalized patients with pneumonia caused by COVID-19 and influenza A in children under 5 years

Li Y, Wang H, Wang F, et al. - Researchers conducted a retrospective study analyzing and comparing two groups of COVID-19 patients (n = 57) and influenza A patients (n = 59) with respect to their clinical manifestations, imaging characteristics and treatments. Children (under 5 years of age) with COVID-19 infection had milder clinical manifestations and laboratory tests than those with influenza A infection. In addition, COVID-19 patients more frequently had imaging results of ground-glass opacities.
