Comparison of different locking plate fixation methods in lateral malleolus fractures

Bilgetekin YG, et al. - The clinical and radiologic outcomes associated with the use of locking one-third tubular plate were comparatively analyzed by the authors with the anatomical distal fibula locking plate in cases of lateral malleolar fractures. With regard to clinical and radiological outcomes, complication rates and fracture healing time, no significant difference was noted between the use of locking one-third tubular plate and locking anatomical distal fibula plate in lateral malleolar fixation.
