Comparison of continuous proximal vs distal adductor canal blocks for total knee arthroplasty: A randomized, double-blind, noninferiority trial
Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine Jan 05, 2018
Meier AW, et al. - This study was conducted to test the validity of a notion that in subjects presenting for unilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA), a continuous proximal adductor canal block (ACB) affords postoperative analgesia that is no worse than a continuous distal ACB. Findings revealed that postoperative analgesia afforded by a continuous proximal ACB was noninferior to that afforded by a distal continuous ACB in the first 24 hours after TKA.
