Kim MB, et al. - Authors evaluated the effectiveness of butterfly inlay cartilage tympanoplasty and compared it with conventional underlay cartilage tympanoplasty in terms of success rate and hearing outcomes. Findings suggested the comparability of butterfly inlay cartilage tympanoplasty with conventional underlay cartilage tympanoplasty in both anatomic and audiological success rates. Butterfly inlay cartilage tympanoplasty could be considered a favourable surgical option, owing to its simplicity, shorter operation time, and rapid patient recovery.
