Comparison of cardiac MRI with PET for assessment of myocardial viability in patients with coronary chronic total occlusion
Clinical Radiology Mar 01, 2019
Li JN, et al. - In patients with coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO), researchers assessed cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) vs positron-emission tomography (PET) in the evaluation of myocardial viability. For this investigation, 80 coronary CTO patients had cardiac MRI and PET. The myocardial viability assessment of cardiac MRI vs PET, in patients with coronary CTO has a high sensitivity (95.3%), specificity (87.5%), and accuracy (93.8%). For evaluating myocardial viability in patients with coronary CTO, cardiac MRI can be an important technique.
