Sannino A, et al. - This study sheds light on the impact of gender on baseline characteristics and outcomes of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) for aortic stenosis (AS). Findings demonstrated lower 1-year mortality following TAVI in women vs men, particularly with a Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS) score ≤ 8, or treated with first generation and balloon-expandable devices.
