Comparison of arytenoid vertical height discrepancy in normal vs patients with vocal cord palsy

Wong EH, et al. - In this case-control study of individuals who underwent high CT imaging of the neck, experts determined the presence or severity of height discrepancy in normal individuals without unilateral vocal cord palsy (UVP). A total of 44 normal individuals were contrasted to 23 individuals with UVP. Normal individuals were discovered to have a smaller height discrepancy compared with UVP individuals. Hence, this study implies that discrepancy is pathologic, and it is likely that this outcomes in acoustic consequences.
