Zhou C, et al. - This study entailed a comparison between two treatment methods for severe and rigid scoliosis, viz, anterior/posterior spinal fusion (APSF) and anterior/posterior vertebral column resection (APVCR). Both methods afforded similar SRS-22 questionnaire scores improvement but APVCR, compared with APSF, was associated with a longer operation and hospitalization time, more blood loss, and provided better correction rate of main curve.
