Misrai V, et al. - The researchers conducted this trial for drawing a comparison between the perioperative outcomes and morbidities for open simple prostatectomy (OSP) and endoscopic green laser enucleation of the prostate (GreenLEP) in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia. Findings confirmed the results of similar studies conducted previously conveying the endoscopic enucleation of the prostate. In comparison to the OSP, GreenLEP possibly exhibited a more desirable perioperative profile with lower morbidity. On the contrary, GreenLEP and OSP were related to similar 6-month rehospitalization rates.
