Comparison between automated breast volume scanner (ABVS) versus hand-held ultrasound as a second look procedure after magnetic resonance imaging
European Radiology Aug 10, 2017
Girometti R, et al. – Researchers intended to assess the agreement between automated breast volume scanner (ABVS) and conventional ultrasound (US) as a second–look (SL) tool for evaluating additional findings found on MRI. The present study showed that second–look–automated breast volume scanner and SL–US are nearly equivalent in assessing the significance of MRI findings, leading to a comparable cancer detection rate. In addition, SL–ABVS has the potential to replace SL–US in the SL scenario.
