Chotiprasitsakul D, et al. - Authors performed a comparison of the outcomes of patients receiving short-course (6–10 days) vs prolonged-course (11–16 days) antibiotic therapy for Enterobacteriaceae bacteremia. As per findings, the two courses of antibiotic therapy yielded similar clinical outcomes for Enterobacteriaceae bacteremia and could protect against subsequent multidrug-resistant gram-negative (MDRGN) bacteria.
