Hasanain S, et al. - Total knee replacement (TKA) is a commonly performed procedure worldwide for the treatment of knee joint disease. Tourniquet is frequently used during the entire procedure to reduce blood loss and increase surgical comfort. In this study, it was demonstrated that the use of a tourniquet in total knee replacements during the entire surgical procedure resulted in reduced total blood loss, without increasing early postoperative complications.
