Comparing the analgesic effect of intravenous paracetamol with morphine on patients with renal colic pain: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled studies
The American Journal of Emergency Medicine Apr 08, 2020
Ma J, et al. - Via performing a systematic review and meta-analysis, researchers investigated the analgesic efficacy and safety of intravenous paracetamol vs morphine for renal colic pain. Searching PubMed, EMbase, Web of science, EBSCO, and Cochrane library databases through September 2019, they identified five RCTs for inclusion in the meta-analysis. Outcomes suggest that significantly lower pain scores at 30 min and incidence of dizziness may be observed in correlation with intravenous paracetamol vs morphine for renal colic pain.
