BMJ Open Sep 02, 2017
Ghanouni A, et al. – The public perceptions of widely used information on the concept of overdiagnosis for breast and prostate cancer screening were gauged in this trial. The intent was to determine the scope for improving communication methods. The findings disclosed that overdiagnosis information from breast screening could be a beneficial template for communicating the concept more generally (eg, via organised campaigns). This data could be less well–suited to individuals less inclined to regard risks and benefits during decision–making.
