Comparative evaluation of a four-implantâsupported polyetherketoneketone framework prosthesis: A three-dimensional finite element analysis based on cone beam computed tomography and computer-aided design
The International Journal of Prosthodontics Nov 13, 2017
Lee KS, et al. - The researchers assessed and compared polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) with different framework materials for implant-supported prostheses by means of a 3-dimensional finite element analysis (3D-FEA) based on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and computer-aided design (CAD) data. They proposed that in some areas, the shock-absorbing effects of a resilient implant-supported framework were limited. In addition, it was noted that rigid framework material demonstrated a favorable stress distribution and safety of overall components of the prosthesis.
