Comparative effectiveness of different contemporary drug-eluting stents in routine clinical practice: A multigroup propensity score analysis using data from the stent-specific, multicenter, prospective registries
Coronary Artery Disease May 04, 2019
Kwon O, et al. - Using seven stent-specific, prospective drug-eluting stents (DES) registries, researchers compared various current drug-eluting stents in terms of long-term efficacy and safety using multiple treatment propensity score weighting. Overall, they included 17,196 patients who received various current DES and first-generation DES, such as cobalt–chromium everolimus-eluting stents (EES), platinum–chromium EES, Resolute zotarolimus-eluting stents, Biomatrix biolimus-eluting stents, Nobori biolimus-eluting stents, Xience Prime cobalt–chromium everolimus-eluting stents, and sirolimus-eluting stents. As for 3-year rates of target-vessel failure, no significant between-group differences were evident in this study.
