Comparative effectiveness of antiarrhythmics for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest: A systematic review and network meta-analysis
Resuscitation | Oct 19, 2017
McLeod SL, et al. - This research was formulated in order to inspect the utility of antiarrhythmic drugs in the case of patients experiencing out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). It was discovered that amiodarone and lidocaine were the only agents that exhibited improved survival to hospital admission in the network meta-analysis (NMA). The antiarrhythmic did not appear to be superior to any other or to placebo, in terms of survival to hospital discharge and neurologically intact survival, for the outcomes most important to patients.
