Miller BL, et al. - A comparative scrutiny was pursued of the oncologic and procedural consequences for renal oncocytic tumors treated with surgery, thermal ablation or active surveillance. The findings exhibited favorable oncologic outcomes with regard to the renal oncocytic neoplasms. It was concluded that active surveillance was safe and served as the preferred management for small (<4 cm) oncocytic renal tumors in selected patients.
