Comorbidity of migraine with ADHD in adults
BMC Neurology Oct 21, 2018
Hansen TF, et al. - Using a cross-sectional study of adults (age 18–65 years) from the Danish Blood Donor Study (N=26,456), researchers investigated the comorbid relationship between migraine (with and without visual disturbances) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Findings revealed migraine to be strongly associated with ADHD, indicating them to be comorbid disorders. For participants with migraine and visual disturbances, the association with ADHD was most prominent. In addition, the investigators noted a significant interaction between age and sex, with comorbidity increasing with age and female sex.
