Comorbid psychiatric disorders in a clinical sample of adults with ADHD, and associations with education, work and social characteristics: A cross-sectional study

BMJ Open Mar 13, 2018

Anker E, et al. - The prevalence of co-morbid psychiatric disorders were investigated in adults with attention-deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD). In addition, the correlations between educational level, work participation, social characteristics and the rates of psychiatric co-morbidities were determined. Adult ADHD exhibited a connection with high rates of co-morbid psychiatric disorders, regardless of gender and age. Higher education and work participation appeared to be associated with a lower probability of co-morbidity.
