Shekhar H, et al. – Researchers undertook this study to assess the utility of combining subharmonic and ultraharmonic imaging to improve the performance of contrast–enhanced intra–vascular ultrasound. As per the data, these outcomes underscore the potential of combined–mode contrast–enhanced intra–vascular ultrasound imaging. Moreover, the demonstration of this approach with commercial catheters may provide as a first step toward the clinical translation of contrast–enhanced intra–vascular ultrasound.
