Combined use of flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy with micro-percutaneous nephrolithotomy in pediatric multiple kidney stones
Journal of Pediatric Urology Apr 03, 2018
Li J, et al. - The clinical value of treating pediatric multiple kidney stones with extensive distribution using flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy (FUL) combined with micro-percutaneous nephrolithotomy (micro-PNL) was assessed in this trial. Results demonstrated for these children, the combined FUL and micro-PNL was a safe, effective, and minimally invasive operation. No patients required a transfusion with 0.4 g/dL being the mean decrease in the level of hemoglobin. Three days was the average hospital stay (range 2–5 days).
