Combined lid crease and endoscopic approach to lateral frontal sinus disease with orbital extension
Annals of Allergy, Rhinology, & Laryngology Jul 11, 2018
Makary CA, et al. - The clinical outcomes of a combined upper eyelid crease and endoscopic approach for lateral frontal sinus disease with orbital extension were explored. Researchers performed a retrospective case series of 7 patients (6 of 7 were male; mean age was 61 years) who underwent the procedure between April 2012 and October 2016. Outcomes suggest that for accessing the lateral frontal sinus and orbit, the combined lid crease and endoscopic approach is a safe and effective technique. They encountered no patient reporting intraoperative or postoperative complications. Further, no postoperative or cosmetic complications were presented.
