Combination of capillaroscopic and ultrasonographic evaluations in systemic sclerosis: Results of a cross-sectional study
Arthritis Care & Research Sep 15, 2017
Lescoat A, et al. - A comparison was performed of the microvascular damages on nailfold capillaroscopy (NC) with macrovascular manifestations, via hand power doppler ultrasonography (PDUS) in systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients. This study also evaluated the associations of these damages with the main digital manifestations of the disease: Digital ulcers (DU), acro-osteolysis and Calcinosis. Concordant associations were found with the main digital manifestations of the disease, through the microvascular damages determined by NC and macrovascular features like ulnar artery occlusion (UAO) analyzed by PDUS.
