Devoto L, et al. – This systematic review aimed to examine the feasibility of laparoscopic colorectal resection in very elderly patients, and whether there were benefits over open surgery for colorectal cancer. For colorectal cancer, elective laparoscopic resection in the over 85 age group was feasible and safe and offered similar advantages over open surgery to those described in patients of younger ages.
