Boespflug A, et al. - This research entailed the documentation of the clinical, dermoscopic and histological features in patients presenting with subungual squamous cell carcinoma (SSCC)-subungual melanoma (SUM). In addition, it elucidated their relative frequency compared to SSCC and SUM. It was deduced that the connection a SSCC and a SUM was a relatively common occurrence in patients with a SUM. In order to comprehend the underlying mechanisms involved, advanced trials were required.
