Linsell L, et al. - An inquiry was set up with regard to the trajectory of cognitive test scores from infancy to adulthood in subjects born extremely preterm compared with term-born individuals. Evidence was not yielded in terms of the impaired cognitive function in extremely preterm individuals materially recovering or deteriorating from infancy through to 19 years. It was discovered that the cognitive test scores in infancy and early childhood reflected early adult outcomes.
