Rizkalla MN - The efficacy of a self-administered cognitive training program for improving cognition in normal elderly persons is evaluated. Authors recognize the self-directed cognitive training as efficacious in reliably improving cognitive and functional abilities in the older adults. While physicians are crucial for improving the delivery of regimented treatment, findings here demonstrate the potential for self-directed prophylactic training in preventing the development of cognitive decline.
