Heeren T, et al. - This research incorporated an inquiry of the cognitive functioning at the age of 10 years among children born extremely preterm (EP). A significant difference was noted in executive function (EF), within categories of EP children defined in terms of intelligence quotient (IQ). Hence, a need arose for the analyses of both IQ and EF while elucidating the school-age outcome of EP children.
