Cognitive behaviour therapy for anxious paediatric dental patients: A systematic review
International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry Jul 12, 2018
Gomes HS, et al. - In order to systematically review evidence of the effectiveness of cognitive behaviour therapy for children with dental anxiety or dental phobia, this study was conducted. They included 6 studies with a total of 269 patients, aged 41 months to 18 years. The study selection and risk of bias assessment was performed by 2 trained and calibrated reviewers. Better anxiety reduction was produced by the cognitive behaviour therapy than diverse behavioural management techniques.
