Herniman SE, et al. - Experts aspired to compare the neurocognitive profiles between those with and without full-threshold depressive disorder in first episode schizophrenia spectrum (FES). Individuals with better information processing speed exhibited a greater tendency to develop full-threshold depressive disorder after the first psychotic episode, as their ability to efficiently process information could allow them to be more aware of their situations and environments, thereby enabling greater insight into the devastating consequences of FES.
