Closed-incision negative pressure therapy to reduce groin wound infections in vascular surgery: A randomised controlled trial
International Wound Journal Mar 20, 2018
Engelhardt M, et al. - Experts investigated if closed-incision negative pressure therapy (ciNPT) was able to reduce the incidence of wound infections following vascular surgery. They noted the overall infection rates to be 14% in the ciNPT group, and 28% in the control group. They thus had encouraging experiences with the ciNPT device. However, the study failed to provide evidence of the efficacy of the device to reduce groin wound infections after vascular surgery.
