Tzimas P, et al. - This research was designed to examine platelet function pre- and peri-operatively in clopidogrel-treated patients undergoing transurethral resection of the prostate. The physicians revealed that platelet activation was similar 3 and 7 days from clopidogrel cessation, in patients undergoing transurethral resection of the prostate. These outcomes could be of relevance in subjects at increased thrombotic risk prior to a surgical procedure carrying a high-bleeding risk.
