Clinicopathological, Immunohistochemical and molecular correlation of neural crest transcription factor SOX10 expression in triple negative breast carcinoma
Human Pathology Jun 14, 2018
Harbhajanka A, et al. - Researchers explored the clinical, pathologic and molecular profiles of SOX10+ tumors in triple negative breast carcinoma (TNBC). They evaluated tissue microarrays of TNBC for SOX10 expression in 48 cases. No association between SOX10 expression and age, grade or stage of patients was seen. Findings revealed that SOX10 did not exhibit significant correlation with mammaglobin, GCDFP15, epidermal growth factor receptor, CK5/6 or GATA transcription factor 3. The present data indicated that SOX10 expression in the basal-like and unstable molecular subtypes supported the idea that these neoplasms show myoepithelial differentiation.
