Clinicopathological features of cutaneous reactions after mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines
Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Sep 05, 2021
Tihy M, Menzinger S, André R, et al. - Early diagnosis and management of cutaneous reactions to mRNA COVID-19 vaccines will benefit from a proper clinicopathological classification.
A monocentric case series of 11 patients with cutaneous manifestations that were clinically and histologically characterized following COVID-19 vaccination was presented.
Eleven cutaneous reactions to mRNA COVID-19 vaccines from BNT162b2 (n = 8) and mRNA-1273 (n = 3) were recorded from January to June 2021.
The most common clinical presentation was an erythematous rash or purpura, and the most common histological finding was a drug reaction-like pattern.
