Clinicopathological features and lymph node and distant metastasis patterns in patients with gastroenteropancreatic mixed neuroendocrine‐non‐neuroendocrine neoplasm
Cancer Medicine Jun 15, 2021
Zhang P, Li Z, Li J, et al. - In this study, the clinicopathological characteristics and metastatic patterns of mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasm (MiNEN) were explored. Researchers retrospectively examined continuous clinicopathological data of MiNEN patients treated at our hospital. A total of 169 patients were included between January 2010 and January 2020. In patients with MiNEN, lymph nodes and distant metastases showed distinct metastatic patterns. The findings revealed that the major pathological component in regional lymph nodes may have influenced the proportion of the two components within the primary tumor, but distant metastases were dominated by the NE component.
