Clinicopathological and prognostic significance of FoxM1 in hepatocellular carcinoma patients: A meta-analysis
OncoTargets and Therapy Jun 26, 2018
Liang C, et al. - Researchers analyzed studies identified from the PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, EMBASE, Chinese CNKI and Chinese WanFang databases that reported the links between FoxM1 expression and the clinicopathological features and prognostic value in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Using STATA14.2, calculation of pooled odds ratios (ORs) and hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% CIs was accomplished. The meta-analysis included a total of 14 studies comprising of 2036 patients. The association of FoxM1 expression with incidence, tumor size (> 5 cm), vascular invasion, differentiation and TNM stage was seen. Accordingly, FoxM1 was suggested to be a reliable prognostic biomarker for patients with HCC.
