Clinicopathologic and gene expression analysis of initial biopsies from patients with eosinophilic esophagitis refractory to therapy
Human Pathology Sep 14, 2017
Siddique AS, et al. - This trial evaluated the gene expression and clinicopathologic features of patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), refractory to therapy. It was noted that the number of eosinophils/HPF in the initial biopsy displayed an inverse association with therapy response. Overexpression of RTNLB in refractory to therapy patients and overexpression of ALOX15 and CCL26 indicated their critical value in the EoE pathogenesis.
