Clinically significant prostate cancer detection on MRI: A radiomic shape features study
European Journal of Radiology May 12, 2019
Cuocolo R, et al. - Via retrospectively recruiting 75 consecutive subjects, who had multiparametric MRI on a 3 T scanner, divided based on MRI index lesion Gleason Score in a clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) group (GS > 3 + 4, n = 41) and a non-csPCa one (n = 34), researchers evaluated which shape features derived from MRI index lesions associate with csPCa presence. According to findings, the radiomic shape feature SAVR, extracted from ADC maps after index lesion segmentation, emerges as a promising tool for csPCa detection.
